WELCOME to all my fellow readers! It’s been a hectic few days getting my new home office up and running and everything organized. Yes, I’m the person who spends their weekend deep cleaning and reorganizing everything. My last day at the current job is Tuesday so I’m very excited and nervous. However, I’m getting back on the blogging wagon and will be posting a review tomorrow!

For today however – I wanted to post with the ladies over at  Two Sisters Lost in a Coulee as well as It’s All About The Thrill for another installment of Sneak Peak Sunday! A meme where we bring you books we’re excited to be reading and our initial thoughts after reading the first few pages or chapters!

This week I’m featuring Jane Doe by Victoria Helen Stone. I’ve had my eye on this one for a long time – so imagine my excitement when it shows up as a group read with the Traveling Friends group! I had already placed it on hold with my library (low and behold, so had another 26 people) so it feels especially *magical* that at just the moment that I had come into possession of it, it had become a TF read.

There’s not much I can tell you about reading the first few pages except that I am totally and completely rapt. As I mentioned in previous posts I’ve been in somewhat of a self-inflected book slump and it’s been really beating me down. However, I’ve got some really amazing upcoming reads that are sure to bring me right out of that and I’m excited beyond all reason to be reading this one with some amazing women!

From Goodreads:

A double life with a single purpose: revenge.

Jane’s days at a Midwest insurance company are perfectly ordinary. She blends in well, unremarkably pretty in her floral-print dresses and extra efficient at her low-level job. She’s just the kind of woman middle manager Steven Hepsworth likes—meek, insecure, and willing to defer to a man. No one has any idea who Jane really is. Least of all Steven.

But plain Jane is hiding something. And Steven’s bringing out the worst in her.

Nothing can distract Jane from going straight for his heart: allowing herself to be seduced into Steven’s bed, to insinuate herself into his career and his family, and to expose all his dirty secrets. It’s time for Jane to dig out everything that matters to Steven. So she can take it all away.

Just as he did to her.

  1. I read and reviewed this book. Honestly, I had a problem with it. The writing and the main character. Though, I did like the revenge aspect. That was great!
