Today is a very exciting day for TWO reasons: 1) My husband and I are going to see the guys of Last Podcast on the Left tonight because #truecrimeforever and 2) it’s time for another installment of Can’t Wait Wednesday with the Traveling Sisters and It’s All About the Thrill! In other fabulous news I’ll be bringing ya’ll TWO reviews this week and at least one recipe. I just finished Scythe by Neal Shusterman and man did it blow me totally out of the water. I’m also in the process of finishing up Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage and boy is this thing something else. I’m beyond thrilled to be back on track with reading and blogging!
Can’t wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about and that we have yet to read. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. This week we are featuring an inciting looking upcoming group read: The Suspect by Fiona Barton!!
Anywho, moving along. I’m really looking forward to this read because I don’t know about you but anytime someone goes missing in a trip abroad or there’s a murder abroad by someone from my home country (Amanda Knox anyone) it seems the whole world is rapt. Maybe because it’s everyone’s worst nightmare and there’s nothing quite as scary as being out of your comfort zone, traveling on what is supposed to be an adventure or maybe it’s because we’re all suckers to the sensationalist media but whatever the reason it’s riveting. This is currently an instant download on Edelweiss so excuse my squeals of glee as I immediately gobble this thing up.
From Goodreads:
The police belonged to another world – the world they saw on the television or in the papers. Not theirs.
When two eighteen-year-old girls go missing on their gap year in Thailand, their families are thrust into the international spotlight: desperate, bereft and frantic with worry.
Journalist Kate Waters always does everything she can to be first to the story, first with the exclusive, first to discover the truth – and this time is no exception. But she can’t help but think of her own son, who she hasn’t seen in two years since he left home to go traveling. This time it’s personal.
And as the case of the missing girls unfolds, they will all find that even this far away, danger can lie closer to home than you might think . . .
Have you read any of Fiona Barton? What are some reads your excited to get to in the near future? Drop me a note in the comments and let me know!

The Suspect also interests me, so can’t wait to read your review on it. Baby Teeth is on a whole new level of creepy, it’s a good birth control LOL!

I’m really looking forward to receiving my pre-order of Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare at the beginning of December. It’s a release I’ve been looking forward to for over a year now so the expectations are high haha.
