Review: Run Away by Harlan Coben!

Hello, Hi, Welcome to the ongoing saga that is "Christina is totally full of lies"! I know I said I'd have this up 86 million years ago but my life is a giant busy mess! However, my husband and I are moving from Texas to New Mexico on September 1st and we couldn't be more excited! We're incredibly busy [read: stressed] but it's also a really exciting time since we've been dreaming about the mountains for, well, forever. Anyway, I'm back from our weekend trip to Colorado and off again this weekend so I want to fit in a couple of my majorly back logged reviews this week so I thought I'd start with my favorite. Without further ado, here's my review for Run Away by Harlan Coben!

Top 3 Thursday: Favorite Books of 2019!

Happy "tomorrow is the start of the weekend" day everyone! So as I mentioned last week I'm dipping my toe back into the blogging game. The amount of stuff I've got to fit into the next 6 weeks is truly mind boggling but a home in the mountains is at the end of that tunnel so I'm very excited! First things first, I'm working on getting y'all a review for Run Away tomorrow and a recipe and a read post up next week as well so keep an eye out! Anyway, I was *originally* planning on posting the review today but I love the topic for today's Top 3 Thursday so here we are! Top 3 Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by A Cosy Reader where different topics are explored and today's is favorite books of 2019 so far!

Thoughtful Thursday: Next on Deck!

Happy Thursday everyone! I’ve been pretty MIA with a business trip, my best friends Master’s Graduation and then a trip to NM to look at neighborhoods for our upcoming move. It’s been a whirlwind to say the least and reading/blogging had to take a back seat. However! I’m getting back on the wagon and I’ve got a review for Run Away coming at y’all soon. I thought I’d take today to show y’all what I’m reading and what I will be reading and review in the next couple of weeks.

Top 5 Wednesday: Bookish Things I’ve Changed My Mind About!

I don't know about y'all but I would personally be an incredibly gracious winner of the lottery, so I don't understand why I haven't won yet. I mean, it could be in large part due to the fact that I don't gamble or play the lottery but can't a girl just catch a break? I'm hitting that mid-week slump pretty hard right now and the week long rainy weather we're having in Texas ain't helping. However! For once I don't have every moment of my weekend planned and I'll get some good relaxation in and I couldn't be more thrilled. For now though I wanted to participate in another round of Top 5 Wednesday! This is a weekly meme hosted by a group on Goodreads and is a fun way to explore different topics. This week is bookish things you've changed your mind about!

Top 5 Wednesday: Rainy Day Reads

Y'all this prompt literally couldn't be more perfect! It's been raining, literally non-stop in Dallas since last night so tickle me pink when I see that today's Top 5 Wednesday topic is Rainy Day reads! Unfortunately since it's a work day, I won't get too much time in reading during the rain but it's April showers time in Texas and it's supposed to rain all next week! Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by a group on Goodreads where different topics are explored. If you enjoy these memes I definitely suggest joining the group! To be honest, I'm not really sure what makes a read, a "rainy day" read but for me it's something cozy and maybe a little atmospheric.

Review + Recipe: The Mother-In-Law by Sally Hepworth + Chicken Parm Recipe!

Happy Publication Day to Sally Hepworth's The Mother-In-Law!! This was a super fun read that I had the pleasure of discussing with the wonderful members of the Traveling Sisters group on Goodreads. Go check out their review if you haven't already because it's amazing! In other news, my husbands future boss has scheduled us to go out to New Mexico in just under three weeks! It's all getting real and it's very exciting and nerve racking at the same time! Finding a house in a state you don't live in is turning out to be much more difficult than I previously anticipated. Anywho, time for my favorite line: Welcome back to the table readers! Today with my review I'll be giving y'all a lightened up chicken Parmesan recipe that's great for when you want to #treatyoself so stay tuned after the review!

Down the TBR Hole #4!

I've been in such a habit of only posting on Tuesday's-Thursday's that I realized Monday and Friday aren't getting the attention they deserve! Mostly it's probably because Monday's suck and Friday's I'm too excited about the weekend to get around to blogging. However, I thought today would be a great day to clean out the ol' TBR pile (especially since I've been adding to it). Down the TBR Hold was originally created by Lost in a Story and here's how it works:

Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf. --- Order on ascending date added. --- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you're feeling adventurous - but I never am) books. --- Read the synopses of the books. --- Decide: keep it or should it go?
